An E60CH on its last legs helps out a younger AEM7 “meatball” with a Northeast Direct train. The older unit was probably a rescue add on at Philly. At this point in time, the E60CHs were ‘protection’ power on the Northeast Corridor. In this case, the meatball’s pans are down. E60CH #602 was originally #975 when delivered by GE in March of 1976. While we are in tiny Harrison the skyline in the background is that of Newark NJ, across the Passaic River.
