A Pennsylvania Railroad photo shows passengers in observation car 1121, one of two rebuilt from heavyweight coaches for the all-coach, New York–Chicago Trail Blazer, launched on July 28, 1939. Publicity photos of car interiors were often made while the car was parked in a yard, but the setting for this one is Pennsy’s big Schuylkill River bridge in Philadelphia. PRR photo
